• Oversaw the development of strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth. Outcomes showed continued growth in employee hiring (45 total employees) and increases in overall revenues.
• Oversaw the development and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001:2008 quality system including quality objectives, preventative action measures and continued process improvements. Audits consistently reported 0 major non-conformances year over year.
• Worked with company supervisors to investigate and implement ideas for quality improvement, increasing productivity, and reducing cost using analytical and quantitative methods. Cost reductions measured between 1-2% of unit cost year over year depending.
• Developed and successfully managed processing schedules and production orders concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations, time constraints and forecasts.
• Implemented performance, quality and efficiency measures to achieve aggressive production goals. Maintained a consistent record of 99% on time delivery for all customers.
• Used measurements, analysis and process alternatives to arrive at best practices and potential for value added services such as subassembly.
• Collaborated with a high functioning team researching and developing a foreign expansion plan for the company to enter into lower cost regions. This report was presented to the owner for consideration.
• Drove daily production activities with effective communication and leadership.
• Worked closely with customers to improve customer relationships and to meet customer requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring the company provides outstanding products and services to its customers through high quality, competitive costs, and on-time delivery.
• Worked closely with the executive team to drive the continuous improvement of production processes. Process improvements included acquiring a specialized ERP system to help track production flow and allow for more accurate costing.
• Responsible for supporting the operation’s overall business strategy by providing leadership and direction to the operations of the facility.
• Worked with management to add painting to the production process. This significantly reduced outside service cost (~$100,000 per month) and allowed for further cost reductions to the customers.
• Advised on the acquisition of a Strippit CNC Laser in order to add capacity to the shop floor. Considerations included cost, production volume to support the purchase, training and customer need.
• Advised on the acquisition of an Amada Fabri-Vision Inspection machine in order to ensure a higher standard of quality for the customer.
• Responsible for the implementation and management of the ISO 9001:2008 quality system.
